NEW PROJECTS
Below are new projects that we would like to start. The new projects will help expand our work to provide much needed help.

Feeding the Poor in Corozal Town
During a visit to St. Francis Xavier Church in Corozal Town, Friar Cabrera described how the residents have become even more poor post-COVID. He emphasized a great need for food and his desire to feed the poor. He is hoping to provide meals two hours per day in the town square across from the church. To accomplish this he needs a grill, cooking station fabricated, tents to provide cover, and a sustained supply of food (rice, beans, protein and water).
Helping Friar Cabrera achieve this goal is important to our mission. With funding we can help the residents of Corozal Town as well as other towns and villages in need.

Sponsor a School
Many of the villages lack basic supplies and materials. We would like to work with local craftsmen and businesses to help the students receive desks, whiteboards and essential items for their classrooms.
Support for schools has been limited in the past due to funding. Expanding this work is another new project that would have great value. Things like a projector can so dramatically enhance the teaching and learning experience for the children.

Provide Computers to Students
Several students we meet in villages and schools are from poor families who are dedicated to their studies and schooling. Very few students have access to a computer. Having a computer greatly expands their learning capacity. For children it can be the difference that can change a family for a generation.
Help the Pallotine Sisters

The sisters identify many of the individual and family needs. Sometimes it is a simple gift like a pack of toilet paper given to a man in a wheelchair who had none that can make a difference.
So much more is needed. Hundreds of children in the village schools do not have a desk or a ball to play with. School kitchens are outdated, many still burn wood for cooking exposing the children to toxic smoke. The meal that a child receives at school may be the only meal for that day. The sisters are feeding the poor off the streets in the city and help with basic supplies. For many having food just to survive is a struggle of everyday life.
